Cleanses, Detoxes, and Cancer

It\'s surprising how many people still ask for a good cleanse or detox to get rid of their cancer. The truth is, responsible doctors and practitioners do not recommend these for anyone with cancer. The reasons are: putting too much stress on the body; inadvertently unbalancing medications or nutrients; and in some extreme cases, contributing to gland or organ failure.

Unfortunately, the above reasons, usually occur due to a lack of education, in which the ingredients or side effects weren\'t properly considered, or the body already under too much stress. Also, many times, complications can occur because of overdosing; being told how a certain cleanse or detox cured another\'s cancer, so higher amounts should get rid of their cancer quicker. While some things can, and do, contribute to the elimination of cancer, each person is different, and what works for one may not for someone else.

Cleanses and detoxes are great preventatives, and can also be used after a person is well recovered. However, it is vital to know what the ingredients, side effects, and expected outcome will be. If there is question, consult a doctor or practitioner who can explain the ingredients, how to do the cleanse or detox properly, and what, if any, side effects and/or benefits.
